The Opportunity
A vacancy for an Export Control Advisor – BDSI LSA, ITAR Brokering,
Sanctions (m/f) has arisen within the Export Control Programme Office
department of Airbus in Blagnac (France) - reporting to the Head of
the Export Control Programme Office.
Purpose

The Export Control Programme ensures Airbus is in full compliance
with the relevant US, EU and national Export Control regulations. The
Export Control Advisor role will support the Programme Office and the
Divisional Export Control teams to ensure Export Control is properly
addressed with regard to how Airbus manages its relationships with
third parties.
Specifically, Your Main Accountabilities Will Include:
* Work with Ethics and Compliance Third Party Management team to
review files relating to military campaigns to identify whether or not
US or national brokering rules are applicable;
* Review activity reports on third parties supporting military
campaigns to identify whether or not they have been involved in
brokering activities;
* Support divisions in gathering information needed to compile Part
130 reports for ITAR authorisations.
* Work with procurement to review information received from suppliers
relating to payments to third parties to identify whether licenses and
relevant Part 130 reports need to be updated.
* Support day to day sanctions due diligence and when appropriate
provide advice on red flags identified.

Required Education, Background and Experience:
* Experience of working in a multi-national company advising on
sanctions issues.
* Export control experience is an advantage although training will be
provided.
* Proven experience of building working relationships with
stakeholders;
* Knowledge on Sanctions (related to financial and export control
restrictions) lists and being able to identify and interpret red
flags;
* Good collaborative and communication skills; sound business
judgement; ability to appropriately involve others in consultations
and decisions;
* Good relationship building, networking, interpersonal and
communication skills
* Good communications and writing skills; High degree of credibility,
independence, integrity, confidentiality and trust;
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly
* Languages: Commercially fluent in English; knowledge of French,
German or Spanish is a plus
* Ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly;
* Non-French citizens will need to meet the legal requirements to
work in France.
