You will be part of the Global Digital organization within Thermo Fisher Scientific’s larger Materials and Structural Analysis R&D organization, which is committed to bringing game changing software solutions to our customers to help them achieve success. We expect a strong desire to collaborate with teammates and project stakeholders to develop successful software solutions for the Life Sciences or Semiconductor business units. WHAT WILL YOU DO? You will be part of the Global Digital organization within Thermo Fisher Scientific’s larger Materials and Structural Analysis R&D organization, which is committed to bringing game changing software solutions to our customers to help them achieve success. The applications being developed focus on using advanced approaches, including cloud/on premise solutions to help engineers and scientists in their research whether in life or material science or for the semi-conductor industry. You will be helping develop the next generation of products that are key to helping our customers solve their most challenging problems more effectively. RESPONSIBILITIES * Take the lead of scrum teams as the Product Owner * Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements * Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on * Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product * Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy * Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories * Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI * Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals HOW WILL YOU GET HERE? * EDUCATION * Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent in related field * EXPERIENCE * 5+ work experience with major aspects of the software development life cycle * 3+ work experience experience as a Product Owner * KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES * In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles * Strong communication skills using English * Excellent organizational and time management skills * Experience in UX/UI design preferred * Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills * Attention to details * Passion for the Science At Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 70,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
