RESPONSIBILITIES
BUSINESS UNIT AND TEAM
Within Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking division
(SGCIB), the Asset-Backed Products (ABP) platform groups together the
different parts of the securitisation chain (structuring, financing,
distribution and trading).
ABP’s Financial Institutions Structuring group provides financial
institutions with asset-backed solutions for financing, liquidity and
risk management purposes, with a particular focus on:
* Capital markets (ABS transactions),
* Principal financing (including ABCP conduit financing)
* Private secured funding and repo transactions.
SGCIB is a leader on the European securitisation market (#2 in IFR’s
Global Securitisation Euros excl. CDO league tables in 2019).
YOUR ROLE
As part of the ABP front officers’ team located in Paris, your role
will consist in assisting the Financial Institutions Structuring team
in the origination, structuring and risk monitoring of transactions.
You will interact with other ABP team members located in main European
Financial places (London, Milan, Frankfort) as well as other parties
involved in the securitisation activities (including rating agencies,
clients, lawyers). Main tasks will include:
* Portfolio data analysis;
* Market research and analysis (European ABS, rating agencies
methodologies);
* Provide assistance for the preparation of marketing materials used
for clients pitching;
* Cash flow modelling (internal credit files and ABS rating
process);
* Support for the transaction monitoring;
* Contribute to the improvement of in-house modelling tools and
database.
PROFILE REQUIRED
YOUR PROFILE
* University/business school/engineering school [in preparation –
master level] with a major in Finance/Economics or related subjects.
* Excellent knowledge of English, both oral and written. Knowledge of
other EU languages would be an advantage
* Strong analytical ability when assessing data/analyzing risks and
quantitative skills
* Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint (knowledge of VBA is a plus but
not a requirement)
* Good communication and organizational skills
* You ideally have a previous experience in a bank or financial
institution
