Digital Factory Director
JOB PURPOSE/OVERVIEW
For more than 50 years, ROYAL CANIN® is a leading worldwide brand in
health nutrition for cats and dogs. In our 2025 Target Vision, we are
aiming at becoming a health through nutrition where nutritional
solutions will be combined to knowledge, services, education,
diagnostics and monitoring, at the service of a better world for pets,
personalized experiences for pet owners and with mutuality for our pet
professionals.
To support this vision, we have built a new demand organization out of
which one team is dedicated to develop further our intimate
relationship between our brands and pet owners : this Brand & Pet
Owner organization is composed of 5 teams out of which the Digital
Factory is a critical organization to design, develop and deploy in a
performing and secure way all our digital platforms, services &
capabilities across the organization.
The Digital Factory Leader is a key member of the Brand & Pet Owner
organization, member of the Royal Canin Global Leadership Group and
reports to the Brand & Pet Owner Vice President, member of the Global
Leadership Team of Royal Canin.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Shaping the Digital Capabilities / Services / Platforms Strategy of
Royal Canin Global
* Co-creating with the Business teams the value propositions of our
core Digitally-enabled business (D2C, B2B Webshop, B2B Services,
.Com…)
* Designing, Developing and Deploying the digital services, D2C core
capabilities and digital foundations of Royal Canin
* Shaping the Digital Architecture & Ecosystem Convergence Strategies
to ensure the most secure, scalable & performing digital assets
* Collaborating transversally within the organization (global,
regional, local, with Mars Digital Technologies...) to ensure the
digital transformation (cultural, ways of working, test & learn, user
centricity...)
* Lead the Digital Factory team around a shared mission and aligned
priorities.
In details, the scope of responsibilities is the following one:
* Design, develop & deploy of key Royal Canin Digital Assets (Digital
B2B Services, D2C Core Model, Pet Owner Experience Relationship
Management, Product Experience Management, B2B Transactional
experience….)
* Lead of user centricity and focus groups with key users to define
new functional needs and requirements for further services platforms
* Build the digital transformation roadmaps and ensure the right
execution of the convergence towards our digital transformation
targets
* Contribute to the definition, set-up and monitoring of the key
performance Indicators of our digital ecosystem (In collaboration with
the business owners of the digital platforms & services)
* Build international network of the Digital Factory and ensure the
right mutualization within Mars Petcare and Mars Global Services
Digital Technologies
* Coordinate large digital transformation initiatives (PXM/Product
Reco, CRM, API Management, .Com...)
* Set up the right organizational ways of working across the globe
around digital ecosystem
* Source, recognise and develop Digital talents and partners
* Collaborate with Mars Digital teams to contribute to the Mars Pet
care digital ecosystem
CONTEXT AND SCOPE
* Co-creates the digital strategy with the network of business owners
and Is accountable for the convergence of digital ecosystem at global
/ regional / local levels In strong collaboration with regional &
local sales & marketing teams
* Leverage Digital Factory skills and learnings to influence Business
Partners and build a shared vision with aligned priorities
* Is responsible for the UX/UI design of the critical digital
applications, assets & platforms of Royal Canin brands
* Develops in best in class digital delivery methodologies the
critical digital applications, assets & platforms of Royal Canin
brands (Royal Canin & Eukanuba)
* Deploys critical digital applications, assets & platforms (B2B &
D2C) by codifying the best practices and structuring playbooks to
enable market & regional activation
* Ensures the Product Development strategy co-creation with Business
Owners (Business Pillars) of the critical digital applications, assets
& platforms of Royal Canin brands
* Defines the Royal Canin ecosystem strategy & architecture to ensure
the best performance, the most secure environment for digital
expansion and the permanent rationalization of our digital portfolio
* Collaborates with Mars Digital Technologies, Data & Analytics and
all the business organizations of Royal Canin (Global / Regional /
Local) to ensure the most effective Digital Transformation of Royal
Canin
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS
* MBA, Master in Management
* Strong background in innovation management, new business design,
Digital Transformation, eCommerce business, tech-related new business
development, marketing strategy
* 10-15 years of experience in Digital Transformation, Data-driven
marketing, New Business Innovation, eCommerce/D2C
* Demonstrated experience & know-how in Digital Product Management
(Product Ownership), Tech-related Project Management (Scaled Agile,
Scrum, Lean …), Digital User Experience Design (Mobile / Web) is a
plus
