PLANT CONTROLLER
CONTRACT : Permanent/CDI
LOCATION : Cambrai
The purpose of this role is executing world-class Supply Accounting to
ensure high quality financial data and robust controls and compliance
with Mars accounting standards and processes. Another major part of
this role is encouraging performance improvements to the site through
best practice Supply Co-Piloting as member of the Site Leadership Team
(SLT).
Member of Supply Leadership Team responsible for budgeting, planning,
directing and monitoring the activities related to the company's costs
systems and analysis of product costs and contribution margins -
including details for prime including NQC, manufacturing conversion,
factory logistics costs and factory support functions costs.
Responsibilities include governance/control, reporting, analysis and
planning of supply chain performance, co-piloting for factory
leadership.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Business school, MBA or University degree in Finance or accounting
*
> 5 years in Finance (financial controlling, management accounting...)
*
Good co-piloting/analytical skill
*
Comfortable with Finance IT systems
*
Fluent in English
WHAT WILL BE YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES?
1. Active business partner of RCC Leadership Team
*
Serve as the Finance Co-pilot to the Factory Director and factory
management team providing financial advice to ensure sound financial
and operational decisions. Support strategy definition and
implementation, developing and evaluating longer term strategies,
forecasts and investment plans.
*
Prepare and distribute periodic plant financial analysis including
insightful commentaries detailing issues, opportunities, and action
plans. Provide routine or ad hoc analysis and communicate with
leadership regarding significant financial performance variances.
*
Directs preparation of budgets (54MEUR), reviews budget proposals, and
prepares necessary supporting documentation and justifications.
Monitors approved budgets on a monthly basis, providing guidance and
assistance where needed to leadership team.
*
Work closely with leadership to identify opportunities and develop
strategies, understand internal business operations, and make
decisions on process development and implementation to increase
efficiencies and create cost savings. Participation in implementation
of Mars Supply Experience for management of factory.
*
Responsible for meeting and exceeding customer expectations via
setting clear objectives and supervising the activities of a team of
specialists to ensure that the organization’s transactions are
accounted for appropriately, processed accurately and on time, and
that report formats support decision making.

Manage the processes of product costing, transfer price calculation
(1300SKU), governance and control of capital investments budget
(15MEUR)
*
Provide reliable and timely financial data to key stakeholders to
support the decision-making process.
2. Ensure Governance & internal control compliance in all areas
related to Value Chain Operations
*
Responsible for governance and compliance with internal controls with
support of RCC VCO Teams (SoD, Inventory Management, Internal
controls…)
*
Create a continuous improvement culture by identifying gaps & ensuring
the closure of them.
*
Facilitate recommendations on areas for improvement (risk on internal
audit, inventory management, external auditors relationship…) and
best practice sharing.
*
Ensure harmonization through reports & Finance Manual rules compliance
and accounting processes alignment.
*
Deploy & maintain guidelines & procedures on Manufacturing area at
Global level (ie cross regional alignment)
*
Be key contact with internal & external auditors
*
Lead the ICE (Internal Control Excellence) by organizing Quarterly
reviews & updated
*
Prepare new control tools replacing ICE & ensure transition
*
Ensure all systems and processed are compliant with Finance Manual &
internal control requirements
*
Co-operate closely with HQ S&F (fin ops, governance, etc.)
3. Ensure High Accounting standards and system monitoring
*
Maintain adequate accounting system records, ensure timely completion
of standard procedures (i.e. period end closing, financial statement
preparation and analysis, and daily accounting transactions), and
consistently enhance controls and business solutions designed to
mitigate financial risk.
*
Manage 1NAV to enable compliance with requirements and produce
accurate and reliable financial reporting. Ensure appropriate
segregation of duties, access, and controls can be managed within the
system. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes
and systems. 1NAV key user.

Ensure bridge between COGS “ex factory” & purchases in markets
sources by RCC and prepare new Management P&L in 2023
*
Support and participation in regional projects driven by EU VCO
Factory S&F Team.
This description may be adapted depending on context, specific needs
(system migration…) & contain additional tasks.
