Training Specialist

ROLE SUMMARY: Seeking an exceptional candidate who possesses customer-facing skills to successfully deliver training and development programs to support Flowserve’s Commercial team members’ training needs. This role requires a unique combination of flexibility, creativity, leadership skills and drive. This candidate manages all metrics, desired course outcomes, evaluations and feedback, and establishes processes and methodologies to ensure the effectiveness of Flowserve’s training program delivery. You will be one of a small and agile team of learning and development professionals. The candidate needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats and work in a highly collaborative environment. Training programs will be delivered at Flowserve facilities and/or virtually. RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS: * Enhance the competencies of the Commercial team by assigning and conducting programs that will boost employees’ workplace performance * Deliver instructor-led classroom and virtual training to Commercial team members * Deliver and facilitate training courses and programs related to personal development, Challenger sales training, other soft skill material * Develop, enhance, maintain, and provide creative ideas for training content, presentations, and accompanying materials. * Develop and conduct Commercial wide training needs assessments and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed * Provide support with updating and development of the training curriculum based on the outcome of the knowledge and skills assessments * Establish and maintain close working relationships with Commercial leadership to determine training needs and to promote the best interests of the Commercial teams’ personal development. * Drive development plans for Commercial team members * Excellent engagement skills in-person and virtual * Create career growth and rotational opportunities within the commercial organization * Continuously monitor progress and provide regular feedback. * Be the go-to subject matter expert for internal training needs; sales training, systems training, soft skills, product and technical * Career and competency development for Commercial Team Members, in alignment and coordination with HR Partner * Standardization of Training Needs for the Commercial Community PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS: * Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5-8 years’ experience facilitating * Must have a passion for developing and working with people. * Experience with classroom and/or virtual eLearning instructional development and delivery. * Willingness to travel * Exceptional written and verbal communication and public speaking skills with strong facilitation and influencing skills. * Proficient with Microsoft Office and virtual applications. * Able to manage multiple training projects and/or programs. * Must be highly self-motivated and customer-centric, able to work independently. * Experience in supporting, designing, and developing instructor-led content. * Technical Acumen * Language: Fluent in both spoken and written English; Spanish, German, Italian or French fluency a plus.
