Meta is looking for a strategic leader to oversee our policy campaign
on the Metaverse in Europe. As part of Meta’s Public Policy
organisation, the Policy Campaigns and Programs team is responsible
for designing and managing campaigns that leverage the extraordinary
reach of Meta. Examples include our collaborations with governments in
response to the Covid-19 crisis, partnerships to accelerate Europe’s
sustainable economic transformation, and strategic dialogues to
promote the sound regulation of areas such as harmful online
content.The Strategic Campaign Manager will manage a regional
metaverse program manager and support local Meta policy teams across
Europe to facilitate dialogue with policy stakeholders on the future
of the internet. The Strategic Campaign Manager will bring together
all aspects of our policy engagement effort. The role will focus in
particular on designing and scaling partnerships and programs to help
policy stakeholders understand the potential of the metaverse and its
relevance to European interests. We are looking for a visionary
candidate who understands the potential and challenges of the
metaverse and who can build and run a long-term campaign strategy. The
role will be responsible for rallying various functions across the
company, including programs, industry partnerships, research,
specialised marketing, policy, communications, and more, behind a
common set of campaign goals. You should have a longstanding interest
in the metaverse and be familiar with social and policy issues
relating to metaverse-relevant technologies such as XR, blockchain,
and AI. You should also have a knack for storytelling and a record of
building coalitions with like-minded external stakeholders. A
commitment to online safety, inclusion, and privacy, are essential.

offices in London, Dublin, Paris, Brussels, or Berlin.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Oversee our long-term metaverse policy engagement strategy,
connecting the work of various public affairs functions (comms,
marketing, policy, etc.) to produce a coherent narrative and set of
initiatives that help policy stakeholders to understand the metaverse
and see their role within it.
* Championing inclusion, manage our metaverse program manager and
work across a diverse team of senior campaign and programs leads who
are functional experts in areas such as research, youth safety,
industry partnerships, etc, to enable them to deliver solutions at
scale across Europe.
* Lead conversations with Meta’s local Public Policy teams around
the region and devise proactive strategies for supporting their
engagements on long-term issues with policy makers, civil society,
academics, and industry partners.
* Oversee the measurement and reporting on the Metaverse policy
campaign, delivering regular assessments of campaign impact and taking
the hard decisions to make changes where needed.
* Represent the Europe Public Policy branch in meetings with senior
internal stakeholders, including the Europe Public Policy Leadership
team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Longstanding passion for the metaverse and understanding of its
potential and challenges
* Track record of mobilising disparate actors in a large organisation
toward a common goal
* Outstanding level of self organisation and ability to design
systems and processes at regional scale Experience shaping and
delivering a compelling, aspirational narrative
* Experiencing managing multiple third party agencies to support
external engagements
* Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth
environment
* Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully and creatively
* Passion for our mission to "give people the power to build
community and bring the world closer together"
* Excellent written and oral communications skills
* Fluency in English required
