Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Hardware & industrial department is defining, designing, validating, and managing the industrialization of the Ledger Hardware products and accessories. Part of the Hardware engineering & Industrialization department and responding to the department director, the Senior Mechanical engineer will be in charge of: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT * From the ‘Product requirements specification’, propose partners/subcontractors for the ID phase (.i.e concepts definition), define the mechanical architecture, contribute to the material choices of the products and accessories, * Drive subcontractors during the ID phase, * Lead the Mechanical design, manage complex integrations of components and electromechanical components: PCBA, display, antenna, battery,..., * Own relationships with key suppliers, * Propose and drive prototyping strategies. PRODUCT INDUSTRIALIZATION * Drive molds, tooling definition, DFM, * Definition of the reliability tests, * Support to the EMS during the industrialization phase. TECH SKILLS * 10+ years of experience in the consumer electronics industry, * Experience on complex consumer product (.i.e mobile phone, tablet), Bluetooth, NFC, radio is a plus, * Mechanical engineering competences (technical design and rules, materials, CAD, prototyping), * Good knowledge of manufacturing processes (plastic injection, machining, surface treatments, 3D printing, etc...), * Perfect knowledge of Solidworks is mandatory.
