JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY You will be responsible for driving technical
accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls,
process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate
actual financial reporting and analysis. You'll interpret internal and
external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve
products, processes or services, and utilize understanding of industry
trends to inform decision making process. - Le/La contrôleur(euse)

américaines GAAP, des réglementations locales et des exigences
fiscales. JOB DESCRIPTION RESPONSIBILITIES LEADERSHIP * Manage a team
of people that cover a range of key controllership activities for the
region * Build strong relationships with Business Process Outsourcing
teams (BPOs), the EMEA Finance team and the wider GE Healthcare
business for a successful working partnership * Lead functional teams
or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or
complexity. Presents business solutions to leaders in functional area.
Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with
others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to take
action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or
customers. * Have major influence on small business unit, a segment
within a larger business unit, a family within a Function or a P&L
business segment and has ownership/influence over budgets. The role is
guided by functional policy. The role influences policy/operating
guidelines about important subjects. * Lead others to find creative
solutions to address complex problems that may impact the
organization. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information
received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple
internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive
at a decision. REPORTING & MONITORING * Drive consistent and effective
policies and procedures during monthly/quarterly close process
including account reconciliations, GEHC Data Request (DR) submissions,
representation letters and adjusting entries * Perform financial
analysis of HCS EMEA FBFA Balance Sheet accounts to ensure US GAAP
compliance, integrity of account balances/financial reporting and
effectiveness of business processes * Coordinate the Balance Sheet
activities performed throughout the region including the preparation
and review performed in BPOs. Identify and highlight any potential
accounting adjustments found and drive timely closure of open items
and proactively work to prevent future issues. Lead corrective actions
and follow up throughout the organization * Work closely with
financial and operational leadership to pro-actively assess and manage
financial risk and manage the quarterly CFO risk reviews, monthly
controllership/BPO reviews with key operations and financial
management personnel * Research and advise on non-commercial
Significant Accounting Matters (SAM) items by understanding topics in
the BPO or sub-regions and manage the communication and review process
for timely resolution of these matters * Partner with external
auditors to lead efficient and cost-effective statutory audit process
in the region * Partner with internal auditors and Finance leadership
teams to support internal GE Healthcare compliance reviews (including
SOX 404 compliance) SIMPLIFICATION * Monitor and provide leadership
for GE Healthcare controllership initiatives, simplification projects
and integration activities. QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelors degree in
Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and minimum of 12
years of relevant financial work experience * Demonstrated proficiency
in US GAAP, local GAAP and authoritative accounting literature *
Experience building up teams and processes in a multi-cultural,
international environment, ideally in one of GE’s industrial
businesses. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * CPA/ ACCA qualification or Big
4 experience, Masters' degree in Business Administration * Strong
analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational
performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change *
Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led cross-functional
projects/process improvement within operations/finance function
involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas. *
Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple
levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to
clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to
understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in
writing * Solid PC skills: experience with financial
systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, Business Objects, etc.),
strong Excel skills, PowerPoint * Fluency in English * Confidence /
Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions;
confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and
defend position * Experience working in global business environment
with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows *
Experience in a matrixed environment * Adaptable/flexible: open to
change (positive or negative) in response to new information,
different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous
situations * Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical,
and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when
dealing with others * Good understanding of financial compliance: SOX,
GAAP * Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology
such as LEAN or Six Sigma. * Graduate of GE's Financial Management
Program (FMP); or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS); Experienced Financial
Leadership Program (EFLP) or graduate of other financial leadership
programs / CAP / ACCA * Previous GE experience strongly preferred *
External reporting experience in public company. ADDITIONAL
