The Treasury Department has the responsibility of providing the
funding and the liquidity for the Group to ensure that each legal
entity of the Group has the adequate financial means. Corporate
Treasury acts therefore as an internal bank and finally supports the
commercial teams to provide financing solutions to our customers.
Within the Treasury, the Bonds & Guarantees Department mission is to
provide to the business all financial and technical support related to
bonds and guarantees issued by the financial institutions (banks,
insurers) and by Corporate entities (Parent Company Guarantees,
Letters of Comfort), to comply with the requisites of most of long
term contracts in the railway business. It includes the negotiation of
bonding lines with the financial institutions, the support to the
business at tender stage and during the contract execution, the
guarantees issuing process, the reporting to the management and the
tool (process tool and database) administration. The Bonds &
Guarantees Team is looking for an intern for a 6 months internship.
Being part of a team based in 4 locations, i.e. France, Germany,
Romania, and Switzerland, you will entertain several tasks. You will
actively participate to the development and implementation of our new
ERP, being in liaisonwith Indian IS&T team. Daily, you will be in
contact with international banks and international project teams, you
will learn the structuration of financial security package to clients
for large & long-term industrial contracts.
Support to the project management of the new ERP for the replacement
of the B&G tool :
Assist and support the business project manager in all tasks, secure
the delays for deliverables
Interact with the project team and IS&T team to ensure that all
steps/sections of the deployment are well processed
Participate to tests, data cleansing and reports development
Develop PowerPoint presentations and Project Management templates to
allow a solid visibility to all stakeholders on what has been done,
what remains to be done, by whom and when.
Monthly reports
To follow the Group exposure, we have created monthly reports, you
will run these reports, create monthly PPT reports for the top
management
The trainee will be part of portfolio analysis and reporting process.
Reconciliation of ERP positions in respect of bonds and guarantees
On a regular basis we run a reconciliation between the
banks/Insurances positions and the inhouse ERP used by the Bonds &
Guarantees department. The intern ensures that the different
stakeholders delivers on the matter and then displays the result to
the management.
Bonds & Guarantees issuances
On a daily basis, processes and follows in the Bonds and Guarantees
tool the issuances, amendments and releases of the bank guarantees on
behalf of Alstom’s Subsidiaries: controls the requests from the
subsidiaries launched in the tool, interfaces with banks and follows
up the issuances in due time.
Be the guardian of the rules, you control that processes and corporate
instructions are correctly implemented by the subsidiaries.
PROFILE
We are looking for a motivated Trainee keen to develop his/her
knowledge on the project management and Trade Finance in International
context, with a multi tasks and capabilities orientation.
To be considered for this role, the candidate needs to be able to
demonstrate the following skills and attributes.
EDUCATION:
Oriented Business School, University or Engineering with a component
of Finance and/or International Trade Business with a material
interest of building up experience/competencies in an international
environment.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THE TRAINING:
A sense of organization, deliveries and KPI dashboard
building/management
Advanced knowledge of Pack Office (Excel, Word, PPT…).
Good working level in English spoken and written
BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
Rigorous, transparent and trust focused
