Apply now! Purpose and Objectives Technology & Innovation (T&I) is responsible for SAP’s overall platform and technology development such as SAP Cloud Platform and SAP HANA. In addition, T&I drives the incubation and adoption of intelligent technologies like Analytics, SAP AI and IoT across SAP’s product portfolio. As part of SAP AI Unit, the aim of SAP Conversation AI is to bring conversational interface to any SAP Products as well as deliver a great Machine-Learning based Bot Building platform to any enterprise that wants to leverage conversation in their business. Our team is located in Germany, France, India, and the US. As a Cloud Agile Developer in our SAP Conversational AI team, you use your advanced JavaScript, Java and Python skills to navigate our tech-stack of frontend-, backend-, and NLP-applications. You use your passion to build quality applications in the cloud environment and to share over responsibility and continuous improvement of the existing microservices. You work closely with product owners to deeply understand the requirements, designers to implement the user interface of our platform with modern tools, and with data scientists to industrialize the machine-learning NLP workers. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS * Collaborate with experienced designers to iterate on the platform * Work with data scientists to build and implement machine-learning features * Build efficient and reusable frontend systems * Commanding grasp of HTML, CSS, and related web technologies * Build robust and scalable backend systems * Find and address performance issues * Participate in design and code reviews Education and Qualifications Required * Bachelor’s or Master's degree (or equivalent) and 2+ years of relevant software development experience. * Proven ability to work with: Python, Java, and JavaScript * Experience with web applications using React * Extensive understanding of REST APIs and their development * Experience with building microservice applications and proven record of building containerized services. * Proven experience with test automation and continuous integration * Excellent English communication skills Preferred * Supports optimizing overall system performance by designing scalable, performant and resilient Machine Learning systems * Helps developing, setting up and maintaining ML infrastructure such as for model serving, lifecycle or data ingestion * Experience with natural language understanding technologies and prior experience with building bots on https://cai.tools.sap is a big plus We are SAP SAP innovations help more than 400,000 customers worldwide work together more efficiently and use business insight more effectively.
