ABOUT US & YOUR ROLE IHS Markit is looking to recruit a highly quantitative individual with a deep interest in the future evolution of the global energy sector. The Paris-based role sits at the core of the global gas team which delivers regular retainer and consulting services to a wide client base from across the energy value chain. The team is part of the _Climate and Sustainability _research group from which IHS Markit delivers unrivalled insights into the future direction of global energy markets. As the analyst, you will: * Contribute to and be responsible for the IHS Markit’s research and analysis of the cost of low-carbon hydrogen from production to end use. You will be responsible for the maintenance and development of IHS Markit’s models for the production, transport and storage of hydrogen. * Undertake research into new technologies for the production, transportation, storage and use of low carbon gases and synthetic fuels. * Research and author in an accurate and timely manner of a range of reports and analysis based on the cost analysis described in points 1 and 2. * Work with other members of the hydrogen team and the global gas and power teams to ensure that the insights from the cost analysis are integrated into the long term outlooks for the demand, and supply of renewable gases and synthetic liquids globally, including outlooks of related technologies such as renewable electricity generation. ABOUT YOU Main requirements for the role: * A degree in a highly quantitative subject.
