Overview:
WE'RE LOOKING FOR AN APPLICATION DEVELOPER SALES ENGINEER TO JOIN OUR
TEAM, PARTNERING WITH OTHER SALES ENGINEERS FOR A 6-MONTH INTERNSHIP.
Our Sales Engineers are customer facing professionals with technical
and commercial skills that drive brand preference for Zebra's
technology solutions among our partners and end-users. In this key
role you will engage with sales Engineers, partners, and customers
across EMEA to advice on development of applications that will become
implemented as solutions in our customers.
As a mobility application developer expert, you'll spend your time
actively contributing to our developer communities, promoting our
portfolio of mobility tools, developing new mobility tools, delivering
internal and external pitches. Responsibilities:
* Work closely with other Sales Engineers to help decide the best
application architecture to a given customer issue. In some cases,
developing a proof of concept of the proposal will be required
* Participate in Zebra core technologies virtual teams related to
application development
* Collaborate with our partner community via forums
* Deliver technical sessions in Zebra internal and external customer
facing events
* Participate actively representing Zebra in industry events such as
DroidCon
Qualifications:
We're looking for someone with a strong knowledge of software in
mobile environments, preferably Android.
Knowledge of mobile hardware and networking is a bonus along with any
interest in emerging technologies such as IoT, robotics, machine
learning, AI.
We're looking for a strong team-player who has a positive 'can do'
attitude. A relationship builder who can establish rapport with people
across a diverse organisation.
Some Key Skills We're Looking For
* Understanding of OOP (Object Orientated Programming) principles,
ideally with experience in Android (Java / Kotlin)
* Familiarity with integrating 3rd party services (Rest APIs) &
libraries (SDKs) into applications
* Experience with Version Control, e.g., Git
* Familiarity with data interchange formats (JSON, XML)
* Ability to explain complex technical solutions clearly to various
audiences
* Comfortable creating & presenting technical content, to a variety
of audiences, including non-technical
* Willingness & ability to learn on the go + knowing how to leverage
existing resources to grow knowledge (Google, StackOverflow,
comfortable asking questions in person, etc...)
* Advanced English is required (C1). Knowledge of other EMEA
languages will be appreciated.
