PURPOSE
The PURPOSE of the role is to support the Commercial & Business Model
transformation for Altéa and get organizational buy-in with the
objective is to deliver long term sustainable profitable growth for
Altéa.
Support the definition of the commercial strategy for the Altéa
Business Line, definition of new and evolution of existing business
models ensuring Amadeus’ long-term success and profitable growth by
assessing the external environment, industry and major airline group
forces, the competitive landscape and our internal capabilities and
models.
Be an active contributor in strategic business transformation
initiatives (platform & ecosystem play) and translate them into
actionable commercial frameworks working closely with Altéa Senior
Management, Regional & Global Sales, Strategy & Marketing, Commercial
& Product Marketing Teams, Commercial Finance.
Main responsabilities
Altéa Commercial Strategy & Business Models
Drive/Support the Commercial Strategy & Business model definition for
Altéa, aligning Business Line Management & key stakeholders (Global
Sales & Regional Heads, & Finance, etc). Contributing to the
definition of the business model for Next Gen Altéa (evolution from
the current PSS model).
* Definition of new commercial and business models for the evolution
of the Altéa business (PBs based, Fix & Variable, risk-reward)
working closely with Regions, Global Sales and Portfolio owners,
ensuring buy-in from all key stakeholders & Altéa Management
* Strategic analysis of current IT models & recommended
commercial/business model strategy for the Altéa Business Line.
Commercial Policies
Definition of commercial policies addressing complex, often cross-BL
areas, that require standard approach (commercial, contractual,
positioning).
Revision and evolution of existing Commercial Policies. Validation by
key user groups (Deal Strategy and Governance, regions) and obtaining
sign-off from management.
Definition of new commercial policies suitable within the framework of
Next Gen Altéa.
Portfolio Pricing
Support the Business Domains in definition of new and evolution of
existing pricing models for the portfolio under their responsibility,
providing expertise on pricing models and market practices.
Provide guidance to the organization on the process for Definition of
Standard Pricing for the Altéa portfolio
Transversal Strategic Projects
Actively contribute to one or more major Airlines strategic projects
(Next Gen Altéa, Cloud transformation) etc.
Act as focal point from Altéa in commercial & business model
definition for transversal projects and/or including other units such
as Airline Operations, Payments, Travel Channels & Corporate Strategy.
Education
*
University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering
or similar
* Top tier MBA is a strong plus
Work Experience
5 years+ experience in business and commercial strategy, strategy
consulting, corporate/BU strategy, strategic marketing, and
airline’s strategy/commercial finance areas.
Working in global multinationals, in matrix type organizations and on
project basis
Skills
Business Understanding:
Commercial Strategy formulation, strategy planning, business &
transformation models, creative problem solving and innovative
thinking.
Knowledge of travel industry and /or airline industry, IT technology.
Computing:
Windows, MS, CRM
Languages:
English, another language is a strong plus
Specific knowledge:
Other:
Strategic thinking; good communication and strong analytical and
numerical skills; comfortable working with complex assignments and
assignment that require innovative thinking.
