Summary of the role
Amadeus is recruiting for a key member of its Product Engineering
team. The Product Engineering team is part of the larger Hotel IT
Product Growth and Go-To-Market team. The Hotel IT Product Growth and
Go-To-Market team sits at the intersection of Sales, Account
Management/Customer Care, and Finance/Technology teams to drive
business strategy, profitability, new complex deals, and customer
retention. The team supports the growth of 6 leading SaaS technology
products focused on serving independent and branded hotels globally.
Each of the products has an established market position with
significant opportunity to grow. Members of the Product Engineering
Team will have the opportunity to progress to larger areas of
responsibility over time.
You will work with our largest customers to document business needs
and technical needs around our 6 SaaS technology product domains. This
important role within our organization will work closely with leaders
on the Product, Sales, and Operations teams within Amadeus. You will
be the voice of the customer to help Amadeus close new deals and
retain some or our largest Accounts. You will build deep and valuable
relationships with our largest customers so that both the customer and
Amadeus get the most value out of the partnership.
In this role you’ll / Your main responsibilities
* Execute customer Discoveries and be accountable for Functional
Designs of our Solutions in collaboration with the Product Strategists
for various SaaS technology products within the Hospitality Hotel IT
division
* Contribute product specific content for Sales presentations for
large/complex Opportunities
* Define service requirements and development content for proposals
in large/complex deals, including scope and timeline definitions
* Liaise with customer delivery and professional services teams when
necessary to deliver proposals for custom solution scope, cost, and
timeline to onboard a new customer
* Partner with the Account Management, Sales, Enterprise Solutions
and Program Management teams to maximize retention for our largest
customers
* Conduct strategic business reviews with the customer at regular
intervals to deepen Amadeus understanding of the customer's business
priorities, technical architecture, and customer need
* Participate in Enterprise Quarterly Business Reviews. Facilitate
product management involvement as necessary
* Provide feedback about needs for largest customers to Product
Management organization for input in product roadmap planning
* Facilitate Customer product feature requests through to closure for
our largest customers
About the ideal candidate
* Bachelor's degree or master’s degree or equivalent experience
Relevant Work Experience:
* Experience working with Enterprise level customers and interfacing
with the Senior Business Stakeholders on the customer side including C
Level leadership.
* Experience leading Customer Discoveries as a consultant within a
software or services department or consulting firm with a demonstrated
ability to gather, analyze and present data with and to all levels of
a customer organization.
* Experience working with Agile methodologies, with a strong
preference for Scaled Agile Framework experience.
* Experience with hospitality interfacing standards such as HTNG,
OTA, etc.
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. MBA is a significant
plus.
* Extensive experience writing and modeling use cases and user
stories in an agile model.
Business Understanding:
* Proven experience mapping customer Business Requirements to
Software Product features to ensure successful outcomes for the
Customer
* Demonstrated domain expertise with software development in the
hospitality industry.
* Experience as a consultant within a software or services department
or consulting firm with a demonstrated ability to gather, analyze and
present data with and to all levels of a customer organization.
* Experience with hospitality interfacing standards such as HTNG,
OTA, etc.
