We are currently recruiting a PROGRAMMING ASSISTANT to join the
African Programming team in Paris for a 6 months internship.
In Europe, Middle East and Africa, Turner currently broadcasts 68
channels in 23 languages to 124 countries. It is headquartered in
London and operates local offices across the region. The brand
portfolio includes EMEA’s number one international news brand CNN
International as well as Turner’s leading kid’s brands, Cartoon
Network – home of global hit animation series such as The Amazing
World of Gumball and Boomerang, featuring timeless classics such as
Scooby-Doo, Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes.
THE JOB:
The role consists of assisting the Programming team for our English
linear and nonlinear kid’s channels in Africa.
THE DAILY:
*
Helping the programming team to build relevant stunts, following
editorial strategies and research results.
*
Coordinating the operational aspects of the linear and non-linear
programming content.
*
Helping the team to update programming documents and the programming
data-base, as well as international reporting and various projects
that may appear, depending on the department needs.
*
Monitoring the competition (ratings reports, competition grids
analysis).
*
Playing a central role in coordinating information with production,
creative, marketing and digital teams and the Play Out regarding the
delivery of the program’s material.
The Requirements:

Minimum Bac+4 in media studies.
*
Fluent in English
*
Knowledge of kid’s culture and animation content
*
Creativeness, sensitivity to content and production values

Analytical skills, sensitivity to viewers’ behavior

LE RÔLE :
Le rôle consiste à assister l'équipe de programmation pour nos
chaînes jeunesse linéaires et non linéaires en Afrique.
LES MISSIONS :
Les principales tâches et responsabilités sont les suivantes
* Aider l'équipe de programmation à construire des cascades
pertinentes, en suivant les stratégies éditoriales et les résultats
des recherches.
* Coordonner les aspects opérationnels du contenu des programmes
linéaires et non linéaires.
* Aider l'équipe à mettre à jour les documents de programmation
et la base de données de programmation, ainsi que les reportages
internationaux et les divers projets qui peuvent apparaître, selon
les besoins du département.
* Assurer le suivi de la concurrence (rapports d'audience, analyse
des grilles de la concurrence).
* Jouer un rôle central dans la coordination de l'information avec
les équipes de production, de création, de marketing, les équipes
numériques et le Play Out en ce qui concerne la livraison du
matériel de l'émission.
LE PROFIL :
* Minimum Bac+4 en études des médias.
* Maîtrise de l'anglais
* Connaissance de la culture jeunesse et des contenus d'animation
* Créativité, sensibilité au contenu et aux valeurs de production
