POSITION: Worldwide Sourcing Category Manager- Raw Materials
You have the global responsibility of a strategic portfolio in the
Oleo Derivative category, strongly linked to Shampoo business, in a
fast-moving environment where L’Oréal is enjoying a strong growth.
As a global category Senior Buyer, you have 2 types of activities, on
one side the operational aspects of purchasing while on the other end
the strategic purchasing ambitions.
Facing both securisation and sustainability challenges, on top of more
standard economic performance, you have to animate an extensive pool
of suppliers from major corporations to local companies while
reinforcing SRM to leverage partnership. You are responsible for the
definition, coordination, and implementation of the worldwide
strategies in cooperation with a broad diversity of internal
stakeholders.
As a true business referent within your category, a previous
experience in chemical or food industry would be of added value with
at least 5 years in Purchasing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
The Global Senior Buyer is responsible worldwide for his/her portfolio
* CATEGORY STRATEGY :

* in the zones dedicated to the category
* Develop a thorough market knowledge and market intelligence
* Anticipate mid-term/long-term evolutions related to Regulatory and
Consumer shifts
* Share global market knowledge and intelligence with zones and
internal stakeholders
* SCARCITY & RISK MANAGEMENT
*
* Carry out SURE rating for all suppliers of the category
* Carry out Risk supply assessment for all raw materials of the
category to monitor Capacity Limited
* Support secure procurement team in crisis management
* ECONOMIC PERFORMANCE
*
* Build year N+1 purchasing action plan and lead the budget process
for the category
* Manage global bids of the category in compliancy with internal
control guidelines
* Implement budget actions and follow-up its implementation along
the year N (trend)
* Master cost modeling and develop more advanced cost model
methodologies and indexation for specific subcategories
* Carry out multi-zone both internal and external category
benchmarks, potentially involving third parties
* SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT
* Manage key suppliers (KSM) while accountable for the supplier
relationship management (SRM)
* Lead annual business review and follow-up continuous improvement
plan
* , implement long-term contract and strategic deals
* CSR MANAGEMENT

* Master Sustainability ambitions and stakes for the category
* 030 targets
PROFILE:
* Master degree preferably in Chemistry / Materials
* Fluent in English
* Experience in Purchasing/Sourcing
* Experience in commodity sourcing would be a plus.
* Be able to interact with various stakeholders and to lead change
(with both internal and external stakeholders)
* Demonstrate a strong sense of initiative and problem solving
* Have strong adaptability skills
* Take initiatives and work independently
