JOB DESCRIPTION
A vacancy for a Team Leader of System Architect team has arisen within
Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse (Palays site). As the successful
candidate you will join the Engineering End/to/End Communications.

Within the System & Architecture department, you will lead the team of
system architects and lead architects in charge of the system
activities for connectivity infrastructure, mainly for Connected
Intelligence Business Unit (Communication, Information & Security). As
a manager for this activity you will coordinate the activity of the
team for the current programs (military communication solution by
satellites). As a major stakeholder of the business you will
contribute to the proposal activities. The role will support the
development of the end to end multi mission connectivity solutions. In
that frame, we will develop the needed competencies (cloud computing,
SDN, Artificial Intelligence, network management) of your team to
support the new connectivity business (FCAS, drone, MRTT, Euro
Constellation, GOV SATCOM).
THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE SECURITY CLEARANCE OR WILL REQUIRE BEING
ELIGIBLE FOR CLEARANCE BY THE RECOGNIZED.
TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
* To manage the team of more than 15 System architects
(Communications, HR activities, HR interviews...)
* Costing and workload plan for the team & resources,
* To manage the Business Unit interface for current and future
programs,
* To develop & to build the needed competencies for future business,
* To enable choice of partners who will support the activities
(core/non-core strategy),
* To setup, organization for the different programs in partnership
with the business Unit,
* To successfully implement method and process in line with internal
rules,
* To manage the staffing of your team in partnership with Human
Resource partner (hiring process),
* To manage the team according to Airbus rules in term of Human
Resource processes,
* To ensure that system architecture processes are properly applied
for current and new businesses,
* A close relationship with the business Unit, the management team
and the Strategy to influence the business & the team organization,
SOME TRAVELS IN FRANCE OR IN EUROPE.
REQUIRED SKILLS
You will have the following skills and experience:
* 4 years of experience in management position,
* 5 to 10 years of experience in the telecom business (knowledge of
IP network or telecommunication by radio, VoIP, Qos),
* Knowledge of System architecture,
* Knowledge of military programs,
* Management of program,
* Experience in development of Complex system,
* Proven track record of delivering against high level financial
targets
* Leadership and communication
* Inclusive (decision making) and trust in others (delegation)
* Risk taker, optimistic, assertive
* Team builder / team dynamics / fun
* Negotiation level of French and English.
