JOB SUMMARY:
Schlumberger is hiring a 6-month User Experience Engineer intern to
join the UX team of the Technology Center of Montpellier.
You will be directly attached to the User Experience Architect of the
center and will help the UX team to work on UX projects, focusing on
changing the theme of a desktop application (CSS and ability to
understand C++) and working on new generations of tools, platforms and
services (cloud based).
You will work with various teams to help them on various activities
including CSS enhancement, front-end assistance, but also on user’s
needs analysis, design (mockup creation, prototype creation) and
usability testings.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Your mission will be to change the general theme of a desktop
application first, and help the UX team build pleasant to use,
beautiful and smartly designed systems.
QUALIFICATION:
* Pursuing a Ms or PhD in computer science, Design, UCD or related
field.
* Final year
COMPETENCIES:
* Software language: very good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and
JavaScript. Knowledge of object-oriented language: C++
* Visual design: Illustrator, Photoshop
* User Centered Design: knowledge of any prototyping tool. Basis of
elementary UX techniques (card sorting, user interview, usability
testing, affinity diagram)
* Software language: very good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and
JavaScript. Knowledge of object-oriented language: C++
* Visual design: Illustrator, Photoshop
* User Centered Design: knowledge of any prototyping tool. Basis of
elementary UX techniques (card sorting, user interview, usability
testing, affinity diagram)
* Computer environment: Windows
* Language expectancy: fully fluent in English mandatory.
