You have knowledge in following areas:
Strong knowledge in purchasing practices and related processes
Good knowledge of industry and market specific conditions
Strong negotiation skills
Experience of supplier management and supplier development
Strong financial competence and understanding
Good knowledge of cost drivers and the value chain of relevant segment
and industry Experience in SAP procurement tools such as ARIBA/S4Hana
Fluent in English both written and spoken
You are capable to understand the bigger picture; always act with the
Customer, IKEA values and total IKEA in mind. You have the capability
to identify and capture process and business opportunities and deliver
results through involving and engaging people. Then, you have the
capability to build trust and relationships, in order to build
long-term relationships. You are capable to take responsibility and

capability to adapt to a fast changing environment.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Contribute to the development and execution of the category/market
action plan by: Securing compliance of the Group Procurement purchase
process. Building long term supplier partnerships and drive supplier
performance. Involving relevant business partners to identify business
needs and opportunities.
You will:
Take fully responsibility for following and securing the Group
Procurement purchase process end-to-end
Responsible for building long term partnerships with Key Suppliers
based on shared business model
Responsible for building trusted relationships through IKEA way of
doing business, secure compliance of IWAY and Code of Conduct
Responsible for supplier management and supplier performance by
professionally challenge suppliers to constantly improve all aspects
of supplier performance
Through proactive market monitoring give input about sourcing options,
supplier market, market trends and contributing to the development of
the category/sourcing plans
Act according to IKEA values do business with Fact-based Business
Leadership
Understand the goals, business priorities and follow through on
commitments and achieves results in line with the IKEA vision and
values
Communicate in a straightforward and inclusive manner and listens
actively to gain information
Co-operate with team members in other and own units to accomplish
common goals
Seek opportunities for improvement
Demonstrate willingness and contributes to change by taking necessary
actions and adapt to new circumstances
In this role you will report to the Country Purchaser Manager.
