Job Overview
Your remit will be to manage the full end to end recruitment process
for experience hire positions in both the practice areas, and Business
Professionals functions, in one of the world's leading law firms,
across Continental Europe.
You will deliver an effective and efficient recruitment service by
partnering with the business to meet the business resource needs, in
order to deliver the highest standard of expertise to their clients.
You will be responsible for driving the sourcing strategy, building
talent pipelines, designing of recruitment campaigns, reviewing and
shortlisting of candidates, interviewing, management of offers and
candidate feedback and evaluation of the recruitment process.
We are open to applicants for this role from anywhere within mainland
Europe or the UK where Clifford Chance has an office base. Please

Who you will work with
You will work closely and forge excellent relationships with Partners,
Senior Lawyers and hiring Managers.
You will be part of the wider global team of professional recruiters
who provide recruitment business partnering to their offices, as well
as providing best practice expertise to the wider global network.
You will work closely with the Regional Head of HR - CE, and the
Global Head of Recruitment, as well as working closely with other
lateral recruitment specialists around the network.
You will collaborate with teams across business professionals to
deliver on projects and enhance processes.
What you will be responsible for
You will run recruitment exercises across the region, and you will
manage the whole recruitment lifecycle for your internal client
groups. At times you will assist specific offices in the region with
lateral recruitment needs.
You will deliver innovative and creative recruitment solutions to your
stakeholders to equip them with resource so that their strategic
objectives can be met.
You will be providing best practice guidance whilst coaching hiring
Managers and Partners in the attraction, assessment and candidate
management within an extremely competitive market.
What you will do
You will be accountable for the following:
Operational and Process
* Managing the end-to-end recruitment process for Practice Areas and
Business Professionals functions including:
o Manging regional searches (where a role could be based in more than
one location, to ensure we access the full talent pool across the
region).
o Sourcing – attraction, direct sourcing, market mapping and
managing agency and supplier relationships.
o Managing prospects in the CRM.
o Application review and screening, initial qualification of profiles,
conducting telephone interviews with prospects and applicants.
o Handling the candidate experience throughout the recruitment
exercise with the firm, delivering feedback and gathering feedback
throughout.
o Interviews – supporting the line managers/Partners with
interviewing, managing tests, facilitating discussions and advising on
next steps.
o Managing offers – making decisions on salary benchmarking,
advising hiring manager on terms, working with relevant local HR teams
to issue paperwork.
* Managing a high volume of recruitment activity, using processes
effectively and focusing on direct sourcing.
* In collaboration with the global recruitment team, defining market
maps and research with the objective of approaching agreed targets on
behalf of the business.
* Understanding your key deliverables and metrics, to ensure that
details of the process and outputs can be measured and reported on as
necessary.
* Responding to a range of queries and carrying out more complex
procedures.
* Providing seamless cover to other Recruitment Specialists when
needed.
* Continually monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of the
team's processes and suggesting/implementing improvements.
* Maintaining specialist knowledge by keeping up to date with
developments in policy or regulatory changes.
People
* Developing and managing strong relations with internal and external
stakeholders.
* Providing Partners and hiring managers with professional direction
and guidance enabling them to manage recruitment more effectively.
* Coaching hiring managers and Partners in best practice.
* Engaging with active candidates and approaching prospects to
develop niche talent pools.
* Building strong relationships with candidates who are often experts
within their legal/functional specialism and highly sought after in a
competitive marketplace.
* Promoting the firm's employee value proposition and delivering an
exceptional candidate experience.
* Influencing at all levels to ensure the balance of best practice
and the needs of the firm are met.
* Engaging with Partners, hiring managers and employees to resolve
complex queries or carry out requests within scope of the role.
* Managing 3rd party relationships and the Agency PSL.
* Interviewing alongside hiring managers regularly.
* Sharing information, advice and expert knowledge with other team
members.
Strategy
* Assisting in developing and delivering the strategic aims and
objectives of the Recruitment team in accordance with the HR and firm
strategy.
* Taking a holistic approach to reviewing processes regularly and
where appropriate design and implement changes.
* Driving forward a number of resourcing projects as allocated in
tandem to BAU recruitment.
* Liaising with external bodies to keep abreast of market knowledge
and to understand the impact of changes in policy or regulation.
* Liaising with practices and business professional teams regarding
future requirements and headcount plans to work proactively.
Your career experience so far
* You will have solid recruiting experience ideally gained within a
law firm or professional services firm. Your recruitment experience
will be predominately gained in experienced hire lateral recruitment.
You will have broad experience of hiring for a range of roles within a
corporate structure. Alternatively, you will have a background within
an agency, with a desire to move in to an inhouse recruitment role.
* You will have had experience of sourcing candidates directly
through social media, networking, market mapping and approaches.
* You will be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of recruitment
methodology and candidate engagement. You will also have the desire to
innovate and challenge the status quo.
* You will ideally have a full understanding of a professional
services environment, with an ability to navigate a complex
organisational structure.
* You will be able to demonstrate strong curiosity in developing a
deep understanding of internal client groups and their strategic
objectives.
* You will have had experience of interviewing candidates and
administering assessments.
* You will have had experience in using your judgement to provide
solutions to complex problems.
* You will be highly client focused with strong influencing,
communication and team working skills.
* You will be PC literate and ideally have experience of
e-Recruitment tools and social sourcing platforms.
* You will be an accurate worker with high attention to detail and
have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
* Working knowledge of one or more languages of our CE offices would
be considered an advantage.
