AND MOST CHALLENGING INDUSTRIAL PROJECTS._
Within the procurement division or Direction des Achats Groupe of EDF
SA, DOAI- Nord (Direction Opérationnelle Achat Ingénierie –
Département Nord) is dedicated to the procurement and commercial
management activities related to the design, building and
commissioning of all the New Nuclear Projects that EDF SA is involved
with.
The intern will be involved on the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project in
assisting the Chair of the Pre-CODEM (Commercial management Decision
Meeting) in its preparation and organisation.
The purpose of CODEM is to review the supporting documentation for
each contract providing works and services to the HPC project, with
the aim of making the required timely decisions or recommendations on
procurement and contract management issues.
The Pre-CODEM meeting ensures that the documents that will support the
decision making process in CODEM are of adequate quality and content.
The HPC CODEM as well as the Pre-Commercial Management decision
meeting meets typically every 2 weeks and is responsible for making
recommendations and decisions in relation to Procurement, and also to
specific post-signature contract matters.
The main tasks of the internship will be:
* The organisation of the Pre-commercial meetings (Gathering of
papers, production of the agenda, communicating with the teams)
* Produce the minutes of the meetings
* Read and study the supporting documentation and assist the chair in
making recommendations
The intern will also be asked to assist purchasers in the procurement
process of contracts on other New Nuclear build projects as and when
required.
Typically, the intern will be expected to perform the following:
* Assisting procurement leads within the department on diverse stages
of the procurement process for their contracts (procurement strategy,
Invitation to Tender, Bid assessment, preferred bidder negotiation
etc..)
* Taking the lead if possible on the procurement process of some
contracts
The intern could also be asked to support other teams on other
projects.
At all times, the intern must operate in accordance with EDF IMS
(Information Management System), rules, procedures to ensure that all
contracts are administered within delegation of authority and the
overall NNB governance / quality assurance regime.
The Procurement assistant Intern will be required to work closely and
proactively with the other team members to ensure that the
requirements of each contracts and their impact upon the overall
Project are adequately managed to ensure the successful delivery of
the project.
The internship will be based in MONTROUGE (92), some travels to the UK
may be required (depending on travels restrictions due to covid-19).
The duration of the internship will be 6 months from MID OR
END-FEBRUARY 2022 (TO BE DISCUSSED).
PROFIL SOUHAITÉ
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
* Under the process of acquiring Masters’degree level in a related
area, or have relevant work experience with ability to demonstrate a
track record of successful procurement and contract administration
* Good level of English is required
* Fluent in French
