Description
Job Description: The Opportunity Airbus is embarking on a cultural
transformation - reinforcing Export Control within the DNA of our
organisation and embedding core values of integrity and compliance.
You can play a critical role in this transformation - contributing to
the evolution of Airbus’ business culture and understanding of the
importance of Export Control to bring competitive advantage for the
company - and to mitigate any further potential exposure to penalties,
debarment, consent agreements etc. Specifically you Will: An Export
Control Manager position reporting to the Head of Export Control
Programme Office has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse, France. Airbus
Group is committed to conducting its business with honesty and
integrity, in accordance with all local and international laws and
regulations. The Head of Airbus Export Control Programme Office is
responsible for developing export controls compliance in an overview
approach. Developing a more generalist working skills set of the
Programme Office team. The Export Control Manager is responsible for
helping to achieve this goal in giving support and guidance to the
Programme Office and export control operational team members. Your
Main Responsibilities: * Develop and teach export control training
materials to raise awareness of export control matters with help to
identify who needs the required training and lead training sessions *
Work on all export control matters (e.g. Classification, export
licences or agreements, Applications assessment, divisional export
control teams alignment, business support including Data
Governance…) with the team members within an international context
handling export control (dual use and military) regulations: national
(e.g. French, UK, German, Spanish, European) and the US. * Assess,
define and implement internal compliance programme activity *
Participate in business meetings to de-risk export control issues as
early as possible. * Travel as required to support local export
control teams (e.g. team meetings, business support…) * Occasional
support IM (Information Management) with export control regulatory
advice and strategy for ensuring export control compliance within
applications hosting and sharing export controlled data * Occasional
follow up and support the business for the application of data
sensitivity rules of export controls within Airbus applications (e.g.
on premises, Clouds, Digital Workplace, artificial intelligence…)
with regulatory interpretation and rules’ implementation. Who We Are
Looking For You constantly seek to continuously improve, have a strong
attention to detail and enjoy collaborating in a team. You are
organised, action orientated, customer-focused and proactive. You
excel at multitasking and know how to set priorities in order to meet
tight deadlines. Required Educational Background and Experience: * At
least 5 years of experience working in a multinational environment
advising on international trade and export control matters; *
Operational experience in order to translate export control
requirements into the business in an understandable way * Business
acumen and ethical behaviour in a heavily regulated business
environment * Good knowledge of French, EU, German, Spanish, UK and US
military and dual-use export controls; * University educated; * Strong
leadership and communication skills; sound business judgement; ability
to appropriately involve others in consultations and decisions; *
Excellent writing skills required to write and edit policies and
procedures, reports and memorandums; * Strong relationship building,
networking, interpersonal and communication skills; * High degree of
initiative, credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality and
trust; * Ability to quickly earn the respect of senior management in
order to be credible and effective in this complex and
constantly-developing environment, * Languages: Commercially fluent in
English and French; German is considered a plus. This job requires an
awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act
with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success,
