DESCRIPTION THE OPPORTUNITY: Airbus is embarking on a cultural
transformation - reinforcing Export Control within the DNA of our
organisation and embedding core values of integrity and compliance.
You can play a critical role in this transformation - contributing to
the evolution of Airbus’ business culture and understanding of the
importance of Export Control to bring competitive advantage for the
company - and to mitigate any further potential exposure to penalties,
debarment, consent agreements etc. SPECIFICALLY, YOU WILL: Airbus is
committed to conducting its business with honesty and integrity, in
accordance with all local and international laws and regulations. The
Head of Airbus Export Control is responsible for overseeing and
promoting the Airbus Export Compliance Programme and ensuring it is
implemented in a coherent and pragmatic way across the Group. In
particular the Head of the Export Control Programme Office ensures
that the key elements of the Airbus Export Control Programme are
properly implemented. In January 2020, Airbus entered into a Consent
Agreement with the US State Department for violations of the
International Traffic in Arms Regulations. As a result, of this
Consent Agreement Airbus is required to have a Special Compliance
Officer (SCO) appointed with approval of the US State Department. The
SCO is responsible for overseeing the Airbus’ remediation activities
in support of ensuring ITAR Compliance. EXPORT CONTROL ITAR MANAGER IS
RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERSEEING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE AIRBUS DIRECTIVES
AND METHODS COVERING THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE ITAR, INCLUDING ITAR PART
130 (REPORTING OF FEES, COMMISSIONS AND POLITICAL CONTRIBUTIONS) AND
PART 129 (BROKERING ACTIVITIES). THE ITAR MANAGER WILL ALSO LIAISE
WITH FOCAL POINTS IDENTIFIED IN THE FUNCTIONS, BUSINESSES AND
DIVISIONS WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THE COMPANY MEETS THE
REQUIREMENTS OF THE CONSENT AGREEMENT. YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: *
Oversee and monitor the implementation of the Directive and Method on
ITAR Part 130 reporting * Oversee and monitor the implementation of
the Directive and Method on Brokering where it relates to
registrations of brokering activities under the ITAR. * Support the
Divisional Export Control teams to determine whether the ITAR Part 130
Directive and Methods are applicable to defence campaigns. * Provide
advice to the functions, business and Divisions on whether the
Brokering Directive and Method are applicable to a particular
campaign. * Work with Divisional Export Control and Compliance teams
to ensure the collation information that is required for Part 130
reporting purposes. * Set up and implement a process to review
activity reports of business partners, lobbyists and special advisers
and brokers to ensure compliance with the ITAR. * Work closely with
the ITAR Leads in the Divisional Export Control teams to ensure they
are supporting and promoting the requirements of the Consent Agreement
throughout the Company. * Works closely with the SCO, his team and
external auditors to ensure that they are able to fulfil their
requirements under the Consent Agreement. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR You

REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE: * At least 7 years of
experience working in a multinational environment advising on
international trade and export control matters; * Ideally Qualified
Lawyer, experience in trade compliance is essential, all ITAR chapters
and management of requirements * Strong knowledge of the ITAR and US
Export Control regulations. * You have a strong experience in an
international company working in line with ITAR regulations * Strong
leadership and communication skills; sound business judgment; ability
to appropriately involve others in consultations and decisions; *
Excellent writing skills required to write and edit policies and
procedures, reports and memorandums; * Strong relationship building,
networking, interpersonal and communication skills; * High degree of
initiative, credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality and
trust; * Ability to quickly earn the respect of senior management in
order to be credible and effective in this complex and
constantly-developing environment, * Languages: Negotiation level of
English and French; German is considered a plus. WHAT WE OFFER You
