The Workstations Data Science team within Personal Systems is a

The Data Science Business Development Manager is a key member of our
team responsible for developing and closing Data Science solution
opportunities across enterprise and SMB. You will drive deals working
hand in hand with data science customers and HP sales teams. You will
drive partnerships, both internally and externally, ensuring alignment
of market demands and internal dynamics. You will serve as the subject
matter expert on Data Science and educate customers and sales teams on
the value of HP solutions. If you are passionate about technology,
have worked in a software enterprise sales or business development
role, and can operationally drive new business solutions and models in
an ambiguous environment, we want to talk to you.
WHAT A DATA SCIENCE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER DOES AT HP:
* Develop and drive a Data Science growth plan and pre-sales funnel
in the Southern European market (primary: France; secondary: Spain &
Italy). Drive new opportunities and discussions across data science
teams in large enterprises and SMB.
* Work hand-in-hand with HP sales force to drive Data Science
opportunities from discovery to closure.
* Forge channel partnerships to deliver best-in-class Data Science
solutions to customers.
* Serve as a Data Science technology subject matter expert and
evangelize HP solutions.
* Have deep Data Science customer knowledge, position HP solutions to
address customer problems, and provide customer feedback to product
and engineering teams.
* Support country category and sales teams in understanding customer
workflows, applications, and proposed HP solutions.
* Influence external and internal partners to adopt new Data Science
solutions and capabilities.
INDIVIDUALS WHO DO WELL IN THIS ROLE AT HP, USUALLY POSSESS:
* You have a minimum of 7 years of enterprise software sales or
business development experience; in addition to relevant experience in
Data Science, Analytics or Business Intelligence
* Doctor, not a patient. You know how to structure and solve
ambiguous problems without looking for someone to tell you how to get
things done.
* Know your customer. You are deeply customer-curious. You
internalize the point of view of our customer and exhaustively
represent her wants needs, and pain points.
* Data Science Guru. You have several years of relevant industry
experience and are extremely comfortable getting into the trenches
with engineers, developers, customers, and partners to discuss
artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, data
analytics, cloud, cloud software as well as Linux OS, Ubuntu, and
other Data Science software.
* Communicate Persuasively. Make cases that are impossible to refute
or ignore. Use data-based decision-making to convince partners and
customers of the merits of your given argument.
* Drive Collaboration. Create a culture of collaboration and promote
deep partnership across Business Units and teams. Be prepared to
operate in a highly matrixed organization with partners across HP.
