Severe convective storm induce tornado, hail, extreme winds and lightnings. The risk assessment covers present and future climate scenarios. It also includes cost benefit analysis of adaptation measures. Main responsibilities of the role include: * Development of a stochastic view of each peril, assessing hazard levels for various return periods and generating hazard maps. * Maintain state of the art approach to risk modeling. * Support consulting missions by providing local risk analysis for different types of assets. * Support our training activity by collaborating with academia and developing training materials. This role will work hand-in-hand with the Lead Climatologist at AXA Climate to help in boosting science as a strong differentiating factor for our business. VOTRE PROFIL ABOUT YOU * EXPERIENCE: 2+ years of experience in the development of extreme weather risk assessment models * QUALIFICATION: PhD in in the field of climate/weather * DEEP CLIMATE EXPERTISE: Strong climate knowledge and talented in science communication * GREAT CUSTOMER UNDERSTANDING * TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS: Rigor and capacity to plan and align with science team goals * HIGHLY COLLABORATIVE: Strong in networking with academic experts and team work * STRONG LANGUAGE SKILLS: French and English * YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING HARD SKILLS: * Extreme event modeling * Experience in using various type of data (radar, satellite, models, stations) * Probability and statistical analysis of extreme value theory * Experience with high performance computing VOTRE ENVIRONNEMENT DE TRAVAIL Aimeriez-vous vous lever chaque jour motivé(e) par une mission inspirante et travailler en équipe pour permettre de protéger les personnes et leurs proches?
