Our mission is to deliver the Digital Identity Platform for our
customers (professionals and travellers) to ensure the utmost security
of all Amadeus Products. Our next generation platform is built on the
latest standards and technologies, cloud-ready and compliant with
PCI-DSS and GDPR standards. The goal is to deliver a modern,
intelligent platform offering authentication, access control,
administration and fraud detection services. Its main components:
Logon and Security Server, End User Security Server, Central Login
Panel require a high level of demand in term of stability and
performance as they are used by almost all Amadeus products and
mission critical ones. This platform must be flexible to cover a wide
range of demands and requirements coming from a diversity of
customers. In addition, the solutions must follow and integrate some
of the latest technologies to avoid vulnerabilities and to ensure a
smooth evolution.
As part of our Operational Excellence organization, you will
contribute on data engineering, development, maintenance and evolution
of a generic platform whose aim is to detect fraudulent behaviours
within, or misuse of, the Amadeus products. It leverages machine
learning and especially User and Entity Behaviour Analytics to model
user behaviour and detect anomalies.
The main projects are driven by the Security Office and consist of
monitoring the logs of key applications such as LSS administration,
LSS server, LSS Database and to raise alerts to the Application
Security Operations Centre. The team works in collaboration with
Travel Channel around PNR fraud and Sell Connect monitoring. The
platform is getting more and more focus from other BUs as the threat
landscape rapidly evolves.
Summary of the role
The team is accountable for the definition, documentation &
maintenance of features of 3 main packages within the Digital identity
platform:
* The Fraud Detection platform
This package’s objective is to detect fraudulent behaviours or
product misuse within Amadeus products. It leverages on Lambda-box
(Big Data Platform), the Amadeus solution for big data processing, and
machine learning, in order to score user sessions in real-time and
raise alerts or automatic actions in case of suspicious behaviour.
The main project in this area will consists in enhancing rules that
detects anomalies from the various sources and developing the ability
to take automatic actions in synergy with LSS (alerting, user
challenge, account lock…). We develop Spark jobs which consume
application events from Kafka. Those jobs build user behaviour models
from past data (batch mode), and process user sessions in real time to
detect anomalies (streaming mode
UBA - user behaviour analytics - is an OJF (Open Java Framework) based
on Java and Spring boot that connects to Kafka an Elasticsearch to
consume information computed by the Big data platform and expose or
invoke services to interact with the IAM system.
* Authentication services
This package includes the maintenance and evolution of applications
providing authentications services. It is highly critical
applications, with 30kTPS at peak time. The main challenges and
evolutions are related to standards protocols to ease integration of
recent acquisitions with Oauth2 and Open ID connect support. With ACS
and GDA, our goal is to keep providing highly scalable and resilient
platform.
On top of these aspects, goal is also to secure Amadeus assets with
advanced and large catalogue of multi factor authentication (One-time
password, Digital DNA, biometric authentication….). This on top of
cryptography aspects related to password storage (PBKDF2).
* The administration platform
The package oversees delivering the full security administration
solution, UIs (User Interfaces), APIs, and the associated tooling. The
Administration platform is providing solutions for user management,
hierarchy management and access control. Latest UI (User Interface)
are developed in Angular and the monitoring is based on Splunk
Your main responsibilities

* Clarify requirements with Business Unit product management and
propose solutions in line with the vision to ensure that the new
developments will match both customers’ expectations and product
strategy. Challenging irrelevant requests, study the feasibility and
presenting the proposed solutions to the stakeholders and gathering
feedback before solution implementation starts.
* Ensure that features can be industrialized, easily deployed to
facilitate the product deployment and improve its maintainability.
* Document and share your knowledge to provide meaningful
information to internal & external customers of the platform.
Delivering quality product specifications, solution design, ensuring
knowledge transfer through handovers.
* Support customers in the production phase and contribute to the
maintenance effort, ensure production integrity & security.
Investigating the reported incidents and analysing the possible
solutions, ensuring clear and accurate communication with customers
and applications.
