As CONSUMER CENTER HEAD, you lead and manage sensory, biophysical
testing and visualization capability in the GIDC Consumer Centre
including the Institute of Dermatology.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. LEAD THE SENSORY TESTING FACILITY ACROSS DERMATOLOGY, NUTRITIONALS
AND DIGESTIVE HEALTH, EXECUTING STUDIES TO EVALUATE SENSORIAL
PERFORMANCE:
* Manage studies to evaluate the sensory performance of products and
prototypes,
* Liaise with key partners in R&D and Marketing to ensure tests
arewell planned, executed, reported and meet the needs of the project,
* Manage product sourcing (internal/external) and sensorial standard
sets in collaboration with key partners as well as storage,
* Implement appropriate training standards to ensure that the
panel(s) are calibrated and fit for purpose ongoing,
* Ensure awareness of the state-of-the-art approaches to sensorial
measurement and suggest innovative ways to optimize and improve the
panel,
* Ensure deployment of appropriate statistical tools during data
analysis and reporting.
2. LEAD THE BIOPHYSICAL MEASURES SUITE FOR DERMATOLOGY
* Establish and embed capability in TEWL and Corneometer measurement
in the Consumer Centre,
* Manage all studies in the facility to evaluate the biophysical
performance of products and prototypes,
* Liaise with key partners in R&D and Marketing to ensure tests are
well planned, executed, reported and meet the needs of the project,
* Manage product sourcing (internal/external) in collaboration with
key partners as well as storage,
* Implement appropriate training to ensure instruments are used in
accordance with best practice,
* Ensure awareness of state-of-the-art approaches to biophysical
measurement and propose other measurement capabilities for potential,
implementation within the facility to GIDC management (a capability
pipeline),
* Ensure deployment of appropriate statistical tools during data
analysis and reporting.
3. LEAD THE ‘INSTITUTE OF DERMATOLOGY’.
* Manage all studies in the facility to evaluate the biophysical
performance of product prototypes (as a pre-clinical tool to support
development, not for claims),
* Lead discussions with Global Medical, Global Medical Marketing and
Country Medical to establish a credible external engagement programme,
* Lead and engage with BCH Gaillard for internal training or
external communication,
* Engage with HCPs/KOLs (in partnership with Medical and Medical
Marketing), with the objective of growing Bayer's reputation in Skin
science,
* Leveraging the facility for product launch events, especially for
France.
4. LEAD VISUALISATION CAPABILITY
* Actively seek project opportunities to develop engaging visuals for
use by the project team, for consumers and/or HCPs,
* Conceive and execute visualisation experiments, working internally
or externally as appropriate,
* Evaluate and implement new capability for compelling visual
development,
* Act as single-point contact for visualisation across NDH and
Dermatology at GIDC.
5. ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN DEPARTMENT LIFE:
* Manage the training of new employees and participate in working
groups within GIDC,
* Manage operational budget for the Consumer Centre,
* Recommend and execute purchase of new CAPEX equipment to maintain
and grow technical capabilities of the Consumer Centre,
* Manage any team members so that they are fully contributing to
their best.
6. SAFETY, QUALITY AND COMPLIANCE
* Ensure that all operations are maintained in accordance with the
appropriate quality and safety standards,
* Understand and implement all necessary safety and quality
regulations in your area,
* Inform manager or colleagues of any risk situations, using the
safety alert system or any other appropriate measure,
* Ensure that your staff are trained and/or authorised for the tasks
that have been allocated to them,
* Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions,
* Analyze any accidents that occur within your team.
WHO YOU ARE:
Required profile with relevant science degree and at least 10 years of
experience in the FMCH and/or FMCH sector. Proven track record of
success in FMCG/FMCH product development and proven experience as a
leader. Excellent interpersonal skills in collaboration and
communication (written and verbal) as well as a proficiency in
English.
