MORE SPECIFICALLY DEDICATED TO THE DETECTION OF EMERGING ONLINE COMMUNITIES VIA THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIFIC RESSOURCES AND APPLICATIONS. IS REGULAR TRAVEL FORESEEN FOR THIS POST ? Travels for the consortium meeting and for presenting results at conferences are planned and fully funded. COMPUTING RESOURCES ACCESS TO HIGH LEVEL INRIA CLUSTERS AND TO THE JEAN ZAY HPC CLUSTER ARE GRANTED. MISSION CONFIÉE ASSIGNMENTS : With the help of Djamé Seddah, Benoit Sagot, the recruited person will be taken to develop technics able to cope with high variabilty languages, such as Arabic dialects only available through user-generated content on social media, in order to produce generative language models. One of the strong constraints of the project is the necessity to take into account social media language variability at all anlalysis levels (morphology, syntax, semantics) and to consider the impact of user networks in the building of specific sublanguages. COLLABORATIONS : The person recruited will work in close liaison with a PhD student and a Postdoctoral researcher hired for the project duration and with the other members of the team for all aspect tied to data management and the building of effective neural models. RESPONSABILITIES : The person recruited is responsible for developing algorithms and models and evaluating performance through large-scale experiments. They will take all the necessary scientific initiatives and will have to contribute to the publication of their results within the framework of the project. STEERING/MANAGEMENT : The person recruited will be placed under the co-scientific responsibility of Djamé Seddah and Benoît Sagot, scientific manager of the ALMAnaCH team. PRINCIPALES ACTIVITÉS MAIN ACTIVITIES : * Establishing the state of the art of relevant techniques to the project * Software development * Conducts of experiments * Preparation of reports and publications * Release as open source the resulting software and ressources COMPÉTENCES Technical skills and level required : Excellent level of python + all tools needed for data science, deep learning and natural language processing. Experience with large scale experiments Languages : fluent English and Arabic, knowledge of French. Relational skills : Team worker, autonomous and eager to dissiminate results. Other valued appreciated : Enthusiasm, team spirit.
