Basic qualifications * Experience working with Education and Research sector is essential * Experience building, leading, and managing education as well as research programs and business initiatives * Technology project leadership, delivering cloud solutions and services * Working in or providing services or managing cloud / technology projects * Working with sales and partner teams in the design and execution of go-to-market initiatives * Fluent in English (written & verbal) * 25% EMEA travel (post Covid-19 restrictions) Job summary Amazon Web Services (AWS) is building the cloud and enabling communities that power the future of Education and Academic Research. To service our academic customers and support our AWS team, the EMEA Education team is in search of a Technical Business Development Manager to define, develop and manage the solutions and processes required to drive rapid growth in support of our AWS sales and partner teams. Key job responsibilities For this role, you will need to have experience designing, implementing and working with education systems in an enterprise setting. You will lead solution offering design, programs and go-to-market initiatives contributing to the success of our education strategy and business success of our education customers You will provide the industry insight and business creativity required to design and develop unique programs and solutions that differentiate AWS in education and academic research. Based on leading key lighthouse projects and strategic customer relationships, the solution management and project leadership that you provide will create an inclusive, collaborative environment where well-connected teams execute against a clearly defined plan. As a Business Development Manager, you will lead and manage programs and projects across EMEA, working to achieve our vision of personalized, lifelong learning and how cloud will change the academic researchers work in terms of effectiveness, collaboration and quality. You will need to think strategically and creatively as you manage initiatives across industries and geographies. Are you a motivated self-starter with an analytical mind?
