Head of drug discovery H/F

Are you an experienced Drug Discovery Leader wishing to build the future Oncology portfolio of Pierre Fabre Medical Care? These strategic endeavors will be central in shaping the future orientation of Pierre Fabre Medical Care and in addressing patient's needs. We are seeking talented and highly motivated individuals with a track record of delivering high quality science and innovative medicines for cancer patients. The successful candidate, Head Drug Discovery, R&D Medical Care, will lead multidisciplinary teams from target identification to completion of IND-enabling studies, reporting to Head R&D Medical Care. What will be your role? * You will be responsible for defining therapeutic hypothesis, concept validation and path to drug discovery, executing lead finding and optimization, selecting and characterizing clinical candidates, to deliver robust data packages that inform the design of PoC trials * You will contribute to shaping the R&D Medical Care strategy, portfolio, and organization, as a member of the R&D Medical Care Leadership Team * You will mentor and coach Discovery Project Leaders in charge of the specific discovery projects and laboratories, ensuring high quality deliverables, data-driven decision making and prioritization of projects and resources in line with R&D strategy * You will participate in evaluation of external BD&L opportunities and engage in the oversight of established external partnerships.
