Work Package Leader for operational ground segments activities (m/f)

Job Description: A vacancy for a “Work Package Leader for operational ground segments activities (m/f)” has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Toulouse. You will join the “NEO GS Maintenance team” integrated to “Maintenance & Customer Support department”. This team is in charge of Ground Segment for institutional customers for Earth Observation satellites ground systems. You will be responsible for ensuring service continuity for ground systems through corrective and upgrading maintenance activities & customer support. In this framework, you will be responsible for the adequacy of human resources both on sizing of team as well as on skills (knowledge transfers/upskilling). This job opportunity will offer you a good functional knowledge of ground systems and will allow you to understand operational scenario and customer constraints on complex systems. It allows to evolve to other activities such as Engineering, IVV, Proposals, Work Package Leader or Team Leader. This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities. Tasks & accountabilities Your main tasks and responsibilities will include: * Coordinate and lead all activities in the scope according to the priorities: development, IVV and IT administration, * Ensure on-time, on-cost, on quality delivery (OTOCOQ), * Ensure reporting toward the projects teams : planning, cost, Risks & Opportunities, * Keep traceability tools up-to-date and generate KPI to measure performance, * Manage subcontractors and stakeholders, * Ensure customer satisfaction. You will mainly interface with: * Project teams who express customer requirements or directly with the end-Customer, * Development teams, * IVV and IT teams, * Operational sites team. This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. Required skills You have the experience and the following skills: * Educated to Engineering degree or equivalent in Computer Sciences or Software Development, * Successful experience in operational team management and subcontracting follow-up, * Experience in Project Management, * Knowledge in Mission and Image Chain and Services Supports on development or IVV aspects, * Knowledge in Linux infrastructure, Windows and VMware would be appreciated, * Capacity to build technical proposals, * Good relationship skills and team spirit, * Autonomy, decision making, * Customer oriented, * Proactive and eager to propose continuous improvement actions, * Language skills: negotiation level French and intermediate level English.
