Job Description:
A vacancy has arisen for a Multi-Systems Certification Engineer
within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join the
“Avionics Resources” group in the “Avionics and Electrics”
department of the Certification Technical Directorate (CTD).
The Avionics Resources group perimeter covers, in particular Display
and Alerting systems (EIS/FWS), Head Up Displays system (HUD),
Maintenance Systems, Onboard information systems and Aircraft
connectivity systems, Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA),
Cyber-Security topics and Flight recorders (CVR, DRDR, etc.). Main
mission of the group is to prepare and lead the certification of the
previously listed systems with privileged relationships with the
Certification Authorities (e.g. EASA*).
This position is an opportunity to:
* Develop or enhance your multi-systems knowledge (Safety, Overall
Aircraft System architecture, aircraft operations in flight & on
ground);

interface with the EASA and other foreign Authorities (FAA*, TCCA*,
CAAC*...);

Tasks and Responsibilities :
As Project Manager, you will :
* Identify the schedule needs for the Modifications approvals on the
related aircraft programs;
* Work with the Certification Authorities’ specialists (EASA, FAA,
etc.) and with other Airbus specialists from the preparation up to the
final dossier submission;
* Ensure deliveries on Time, Cost & Quality to EASA
* Make decisions when representing Airbus in front of Airworthiness
Authorities and resolve potential conflicts and complex issues.
As Certification Engineer, you will :
* Influence key Airbus Commercial partners: Design Office, Aircraft
programs Chief Engineers, Configuration Management, certification
community…
* Propose the classification of the modifications to the aircraft
design;
* Review the modifications to identify certification requirements and
associated Means of Compliance;
* Agree / Identify necessary compliance means;
* Check design compliance to those means;
* Prepare the compliance summary of the major changes;
* Provide the Modification approval (submitted to delegation
granting).
Skills and Experience :
* Master degree (or equivalent) in Engineering
* Ability to structure and organize activities in an autonomous way
* Project Management experience or clear willingness to develop in
this area
* Solid experience in Avionics System Design
* Competencies on Safety or Aircraft Operations would be a plus
* Very good team spirit mindset
* Proficient oral and written communication skills
* Negotiation level in English; French would be a plus
