Senior Marketplace Manager Uber France

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Senior Marketplace Operations Manager, you will partner with the Head of Marketplace for France, to outline Uber's strategy across the 20 + cities where we are present. This role calls for a combination of strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong execution and the interpersonal ability to work alongside a team of performance driven Operations Managers and across the organisation. You will need to work closely with Operations and Product stakeholders to optimize the health of the marketplace. This requires a dedication to operational excellence, a deep understanding of the functionality of our product, the capacity for out-of-the-box thinking and a customer centric mentality. This role also calls for someone who is highly adaptable and keen to tackle different issues and will demonstrate ability to push new initiatives. What You'll Do * Marketplace Problem solving: Understand issues in the local marketplace (reliability, pricing, rider and driver behaviour) through data analytics and solve them for our drivers and riders. * Measure and understand deeply the performance and run "real world" tests & experiments. * Optimize our rides business performance, detect opportunities & issues, and propose improvements that will have immediate impact. * Bias for action: Take big picture ideas and break them into actionable steps, own processes end to end and execute them. * Adapt products, features, processes to France in coordination with ops and product teams all over the world. * Build alluring and actionable dashboards supervising you and your team's critical metrics with our reams of data. * Communicate product/process/tool needs to HQ, work with product/engineering to deliver on new product roll- outs. Basic Qualifications * Minimum 4 years of shown experience of data analytics / management consulting / investment banking / strategy work in a large business, or growing a startup. * Strong analytical skills - Excel, SQL. Python is a plus. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking. * Ability to build and improve complex processes to optimize our business * High adaptability to change and ability to execute quickly. * Curious and eager to learn - you are interested in all things and can build up skills and knowledge very fast to become a recognized subject matter authority amongst your peers. * Problem solver and creative solutions driven approach. * Flexible and forward thinking - we need someone sharp and driven play with different models to help us scale
