Job Description: A vacancy for a Multi skills Static / Fatigue & Dynamic Stress Engineer (m/f) has arisen in Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) / Engineering based in Toulouse. The Airbus engineering, part of the Airframe organization, is in a transformation process giving the opportunity to work on all Airbus family programs within a single team, both in series and development. We are looking for a multi skilled Static / Fatigue Stress Engineer, to join the expanding team (Systems Installation Engineering – Specific Stress of Mechanical & Electrical Systems installation). You will join a trully multi-program fuselage engineering organization. You will also have the opportunity to work in a multi-cultural and transnational environment. Pending your experience and skills, the activity can range from support to ramp-up, daily support (Airworthiness, Manufacturing), project in development and/or innovative technological bricks in link with Research & Technology. This variety of activities is completed by a diversification policy to ensure best use of skills & knowledge across the different programs. It includes the use and development of new solutions to support the digital transformation Tasks & accountabilities The activity consists in investigating and analysing new design solutions in order to improve the product focusing on recurring cost and weight saving, robustness and modifications aiming at increasing A/C performance. The objective of this activity is to investigate and implement different innovative technologies and participate in pre-development activities. You will be involved in: * Managing different activities of system installation workpackages and provide support to the others WP/group leader if needed. * Coordinating the stress activities of sub-contractors (follow-up of plan, methods, policies) * Supporting and approving metallic or composite stress deliverables (drawings, stress dossiers, interface loads reports, test and certification reports etc.) * In the frame of this activities you will be in charge of performing stress analysis to support drawing release and of producing certification stress dossier. More particularly, your contribution will consist, amongst other things, in: * Ensuring analytical sizing of metallic parts * Monitoring and supporting Design and Build Supplier for systems installations (providing inputs, including CS25 regulation requirements, choice of stress methods, check and approval of different deliveries). * Checking structural analysis reports * Validating justification reports from subcontractors * Performing preliminary structural analysis of parts. * Preparing stress sheets and stress reports for structural components. * Providing support to manufacturing for concessions. * Follow-up all modifications on programs to ensure certification documentation on time for aircraft delivery. * Exploring and developing new stress methods, tools, ways of working We are looking for an experienced Stress system installation engineer: * Graduated Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with proven knowledge of structure and stress structure. * Experience in materials stress (FEM, etc.); Static stress experience * Advanced knowledge of fundamental stress principles and methods including hand calculations and linear FEA, ability to select appropriate methods, identify critical failure modes and appropriate design precautions for metallic or composite structures. * Good level of knowledge of Airbus Calculation methods & tools * An experience in system installation is a plus (design investigation, design principles, integration rules [SIDP, TDD, SIRD..], exchange with architects etc...). * Ability to organize, structure your daily work in the team and Multi Functional Team projects and manage multiple tasks in parallel * Autonomous approach with a good ability to react and adapt * Open minded and synthetic with capability to step back from activities and propose new ideas. * Open to new digital technologies with an understanding of the benefits of the digital solutions * Advanced level in English and French.
