JOB DESCRIPTION:
The mission of the Performance/Electronic Flight Bag (EFB)/ Weight and
Balance group is to provide support, training and operational
documentation to Airbus operators on all Airbus commercial aircraft.
ACTIVITIES ARE CATEGORIZED IN 5 AREAS:
- SUPPORT : answers to questions from operators (using the Techrequest
interface)
- DOCUMENTATION : development of the operational documentation (Weight
and Balance Manual -WBM- and Aircraft Performance Data (APD)).
- PROJECTS : Contribution to Aircraft & Services development
- TRAINING : development of training material and execution of
training sessions in Airbus training facilities (Toulouse, Beijing,
Miami, Bangkok) or customer base.
- SOFTWARE : contribution to the evolution of software tools (customer
applications: PEP, FlySmart, Load and Trimsheet Software and future
EFB tools)
ACCOUNTABILITIES
O THE JOBHOLDER IS IN CHARGE OF PROVIDING OPERATORS WITH SUPPORT ON
OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE/ EFB/ W&B SUBJECTS FOR THE WHOLE AIRBUS
COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT FLEET DURING STANDARD WORKING HOURS AND DURING
SPECIFIC STANDBY PERIODS
O THE JOBHOLDER IS IN CHARGE OF PROVIDING NAVBLUE WITH SUPPORT ON THE
PERFORMANCE/ EFB/ W&B SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
O THE JOBHOLDER IS IN CHARGE OF OR PARTICIPATES IN WRITING AND
UPDATING THE WBM/APD OF ALL AIRBUS COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT.
O THE JOBHOLDER IS IN CHARGE OF OR PARTICIPATES IN WRITING AND
UPDATING THE FLIGHT OPERATIONS SUPPORT INFORMATION ("GETTING TO GRIPS"
MANUALS, WISE ARTICLES…)
O THE JOBHOLDER IS IN CHARGE OF OR PARTICIPATES IN PROJECTS ON THE
OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE/ EFB/ W&B SUBJECTS (AIRCRAFT DESIGN
DEVELOPMENT, OPERATIONS DEFINITION, MARKETING, REGULATION
EVOLUTION…)
O THE JOBHOLDER IS IN CHARGE OF PROVIDING OPERATORS WITH FLIGHT
OPERATIONS TRAINING SESSIONS ON PERFORMANCE/ EFB/ W&B SUBJECTS FOR THE
WHOLE AIRBUS COMMERCIAL FLEET, IN AIRBUS TRAINING FACILITIES
(TOULOUSE, BEIJING, MIAMI, BANGKOK) OR AT THE CUSTOMER BASE.
O THE JOBHOLDER IS IN CHARGE OF OR PARTICIPATES IN WRITING AND
UPDATING THE FLIGHT OPERATIONS PERFORMANCE/ EFB/ W&B COURSES OF ALL
AIRBUS COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT.
O THE JOBHOLDER IS IN CHARGE OF OR PARTICIPATES TO FUNCTIONAL
SPECIFICATION AND VALIDATION OF PERFORMANCE/ EFB/ W&B OPERATIONAL
SOFTWARE PROVIDED TO AIRBUS OPERATORS (PEP, N-LTS, FLYSMART, FUTURE
TOOLS)
O The jobholder supports the Safety initiatives related to Training
and Flight Operations Support as part of the Safety management
activity, including contribution to Product Safety Process (PSP) and
Safety Management System (SMS).
OUTPUTS:
A. THE JOBHOLDER WILL DELIVER TO AIRBUS CUSTOMERS ACCURATE AND IN DUE
TIME SUPPORT (ANSWER TO QUESTIONS, PRESENTATIONS…) ADAPTED TO
CUSTOMERS OPERATIONS, BACKGROUND AND COMPETENCE.
B. THE JOBHOLDER WILL MONITOR THE PERFORMANCE/ EFB/ W&B SERVICE
PRODUCED BY NAVBLUE AND WILL DELIVER TO NAVBLUE ADEQUATE
RECOMMENDATIONS TO ENSURE THAT THE SERVICE REMAINS IN LINE WITH AIRBUS
STANDARDS
C. THE JOBHOLDER WILL DELIVER UPDATES OF THE WBM/ APD
D. THE JOBHOLDER WILL DELIVER NEW OR UPDATED FLIGHT OPS INFORMATION
(GTG, ISI ARTICLES…)
E. THE JOBHOLDER WILL DELIVER THE OPERATIONAL POINT OF VIEW AND
RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE AIRBUS DESIGN OFFICE AND AIRCRAFT PROGRAM
RELATED AIRCRAFT DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS.
F. THE JOBHOLDER WILL DELIVER TO AIRBUS CUSTOMERS TRAINING SESSIONS
ADAPTED TO CUSTOMERS BACKGROUND AND COMPETENCE.
G. THE JOBHOLDER WILL DELIVER UPDATES OF THE TRAINING COURSE MATERIAL.
H. The jobholder will deliver functional specification and validation
documents for software design.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:

CONFIRMED EXPERIENCE WITHIN AIRLINE, AS FLIGHT OPERATIONS ENGINEER (>
3-5 YRS)
