We are currently recruiting for a
SALES ENGINEER GAUGING SYSTEMS (M/F/D)
Location: Remote EMEA / Home-Office based EMEA region
The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) provides a diverse mix of
analytical instruments and associated services to a broad range of end
user markets including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety,
Energy, Mining, Life Science Manufacturing and Recycling, to name a
few. Its instruments are deployed in the field and on the line, in
challenging environments where customers put a premium on robustness,
reliability and ease of use. They allow them to make decisions where
they operate and streamline their businesses. CAD is a complex
division with a global footprint, broad product portfolio and diverse
customer base.
Within our EMEA Production Process & Analytics Business Unit we are
looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Engineer, product line
Gauging for Thickness and Basis Weight Measurement (Link: Gauging)
with focus on coating, flexible packaging and Lithium Ion batteries
applications and if required extending to other product lines and/or
applications.
DISCOVER IMPACTFUL WORK:
In this role you will provide sales expertise and account management,
leading all selling and commercial activities within existing markets
for the Gauging business unit of the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD).
The Sales Engineer will build and maintain customer relations with
strategic accounts that typically involve multi-site national
resources, international partners or major global accounts.
Responsible to identify, develop and close new sales opportunities.
Generate demand for Gauging products and services by raising their
profile with customers.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
* Develop strategic relationships at the quality control,
engineering and other departments to advance Thermo Fisher’s access
and opportunities
* Align specific proposals and offerings to company objectives by
working with Marketing, Research &Development and management
* Owns Strategic Account Headquarter Relationships to identify new
business opportunities and supports geographic account activities
* Implement preferred provider relationships and strategic
partnerships to demonstrate the gauging product portfolio
* Conduct analysis of industry trends and customer applications to
assess the potential demands that clients may have within gauging.
Develop short / medium- and long-term strategies that result in
improving the opportunities to increase the sales pipeline
* Introduce and ensure client understanding of the Thermo Fisher
Scientific gauging value proposition
* Commercial Process Management – lead contractual processes
including Confidentiality agreements, Preferred provider / Master
Services agreements / pricing agreements. Responsible for the
resolution of commercial issues / negotiations
* Development of service opportunities & growth – partner with
service providers to deliver strategic full service offering and
programs
* Reporting – provide account status reports as the need arises on
a local or global basis as appropriate – integrate Sales Force.com
as part of daily work to ensure accurate reporting
* Continuous improvement – find opportunities for standardized
work, and improvement of quality and service with client group
KEYS TO SUCCESS:
* Graduated (University or advanced technical college) in Process,
Electrical or Control Engineering or comparable other
technical/science degree
* Shown success in sales of complex and high sophisticated
industrial equipment
* Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
* Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills
* Solution Selling (or comparable) desirable
* Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communications skills
* Business fluent in English and German, additional language skills
desirable
* Good knowledge in CRM (SalesForce.com) and Office tools
