THE TEAM YOU'LL BE PART OF Nokia Bell Labs is the world-renowned research arm of Nokia, having invented many of the foundational technologies that underpin information and communications networks and all digital devices and systems. This research has produced nine Nobel Prizes, five Turing Awards and numerous other awards. The internship will take place within the Enterprise Networks department (11 researchers) in Nokia Bell Labs France, located in Nokia Paris-Saclay premise in Nozay (route de Villejust, 91620 Nozay) which is 30 km south from Paris: * The premise is within 15-20 minutes reach by bus from Massy-Palaiseau RER station (bus DM11B or DM11C) * Alternatively, you can get there by car either via N118 (exit 14 – Les Ulis) or via A10 (exit 9 – Villebon-sur-Yvette) WHAT YOU WILL LEARN AND CONTRIBUTE TO Are you passionate about solving problems? As part of our team, you will: * Study state-of-the-art on Edge Computing area (e.g. HTTPS://WWW.ETSI.ORG/TECHNOLOGIES/MULTI-ACCESS-EDGE-COMPUTING); * Setup and deploy an Edge Computing platform (e.g. ETSI MEC) using open-source software; * Possible hardware configuration/optimisation (e.g. for performance purpose); * Contribute to the conception and the design of new orchestration algorithms; * Help present and showcase the implemented platform together with new algorithms.
