THE TEAM YOU'LL BE PART OF Nokia Bell Labs is the world-renowned research arm of Nokia, having invented many of the foundational technologies that underpin information and communications networks and all digital devices and systems. This research has produced nine Nobel Prizes, five Turing Awards and numerous other awards. Within Bell Labs, AI Research Lab conducts fundamental and applied research in machine learning, mathematics, modeling, and optimization. The Lab has a long tradition of excellence in research and currently consists of over 80 staff members with expertise in algorithmic and computing sciences, network measurement and optimization, information theory and machine learning. Within AI Research lab, Machine Learning and Systems group develops AI-based knowledge systems and fundamental algorithms, autonomous software, and data systems. EDUCATION RECOMMENDATIONS The internship is open to candidates who are finishing an MSc in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or Machine Learning backgrounds. DURATION: 6 MONTHS. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN AND CONTRIBUTE TO As part of the Predictive Analytics, you will: * Design and analyze Machine Learning algorithms for predictive maintenance and analytics solutions * Experiment with real data collected from telco networks * Write papers for publication if/when results justify * Collaborate with other researchers in Bell Labs and create and maintain strong relationships with partners in the external research community WHAT IS NOKIA LOOKING FOR FROM ME You have: * Programming experience in Python and similar for computer simulations and numerical studies, * Advanced understanding of ML and deep learning techniques for time series analysis It would be nice if you also had: * Advanced knowledge of TensorFlow or PyTorch * Advanced knowledge of _scikit_-learn WHAT WE OFFER The researcher position is based in Massy (in Paris region) close to a major transportation hub.
